Teens go off the rails it just happens it has happened in my family and all that was done is to captain a shaky ship unfortunately that is all you can do ride it out but you have to make him aware of what he is causing.

Just straight up say to him that in two years he will be a 'man' and then he will no longer be living with you.
Tell him that two years sounds like a long time but it will fly by.
Leave it at that and let it sink in.

best thing that could happen is that he gets an absolute hiding from someone, which I guess may wind up happening if hes going about like that. Hopefully being beat to within an inch of his like may help.

I actually think this is a great place to ask for advice - you get a great cross-section of people, and some will almost certainly have something very valuable to say. You'll have to wade through a lot of shit to find it, but still.
As I say, Mace has asked such a wide group that someone will almost inevitably have gone through similar.
Personally I have a lot of great info and advice that I could have shared with him, but as it's all learned from Hollyoaks I decided against.

Its the age of the internet. WHO is probably strangely a very good place to ask about this sort of thing (if you ignore the piss taking etc). Forum full of mostly middle aged blokes, most on here probably have kids, wide range of experiences, and a lot are anonymous so more likely to share stuff that they wouldn't do down the pub (for better or worse).
People have got jobs and met partners thru WHO, no shame in asking a bit of advice.

I was similar when I was a teenager but not violent.
My recollections are hazy but from memory he’s probably angry and doesn’t know why, doesn’t understand the world and feels different and that no one understands him. Very frustrating especially when you’re a teenager which is confusing enough as it is.
Understand that his brain works differently to yours and and he doesn’t see the world in the way that other people do. He will have little self awareness and can’t really think about the consequences of what he does. Even if he does it’s all abstract and floating round in his head with a million other things.
The weed thing is self medicating, his brain has faulty dopamine regulation and the weed makes the brain produce more dopamine. Plus he probably just likes getting high..
Nothing you can do or say will make him change so maybe try just accepting him a bit more, try not to get worked up. He will probably feel bad about himself so impossible as it sounds try and be encouraging and positive about him and his interests.
I’m assuming he’s not a massive cunt all of the time, he must have times where’s he’s human. If he’s a massive cunt 100% of the time then obviously the above doesn’t really apply and you’ll just have to wait til gets banged up.
Everyone with ADHD has something that they are really into and really good at. The only thing you can do for him is try and find what that is and encourage it as much as possible
